Job Title: Banking & Finance Litigator
Team / Location: Technical Team, Bradford
Reports to: Director of Legal (Technical)
Salary: Market rate
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week (09.00 - 17.00) – 1 hour for lunch (some flexibility may be required according to workloads)

1 JOB PURPOSE
Running own caseload, working predominantly for large banks and finance clients. Effective and professional handling of client instructions as well as assisting with providing high quality know how and legal support to other departments together with business development activity.
2 DIMENSIONS
- Reporting to Director of Legal (Technical)
- Working within a team of 24
- Having targets to work to
- Based in Bradford on a day to day basis though travelling to clients, events and attendance at court will be required
3 PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Running a caseload of technical and defended cases which will include:
- Dealing with all aspects of the case including, where appropriate, advocacy
- Liaising with clients
- Instructing counsel where appropriate
- Ensuring the client’s objectives are met
- Dealing with in house counsel
- Assisting with the delivery of internal and client training
- Assisting with providing technical legal support to other departments
- Working with the executive team in relation to business development activities

5 TECHNICAL SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years PQE (more qualified Solicitors will be considered)
- Defended repossessions experience essential
- General litigation experience working for financial institutions
- Experience of working for banking / finance clients
- Competence in the use of MS Word and Excel
